Lost Poems and Beautiful Gardens
In which I prepare a new poetry collection and enjoy some late summer flowers
First of all, welcome to the new month. A very happy September to us all! 😍
This week, I’ve been preparing a new poetry collection for publication this month. It’s called The Lost Poems and the main focus is on memory, death and the power of love. Many of the poems included are old ones which have been lost somewhere in my computer system for many years, but I’ve now been lucky enough to find them again. It’s been interesting to revisit them and I’ve enjoyed working on the updates.
Here are another couple of poems from my poetry collection Imagined in White. As we are moving into autumn, these two poems are about spring! 😀
Meanwhile, I’m back to writing more of the new novel project, Amber and the Magician. I’m now at just over 11,000 words, and I believe the magician is about to make things very difficult in the village for Amber and her father. Not sure how yet, but I’ll think of something!
I’ve also been very modern (oo-err, missus!) and joined Bluesky - so you can now find my Bluesky profile here if you are on that medium.
During the UK bank holiday weekend, we had a lovely trip to Loseley Gardens which are looking stunning and we rounded off our trip with coffee and cake too!
Speaking of gardens, last year we moved our struggling fennel plant from the back to the front garden and now it's taller than I am! Plus the bees seem to love it as well 😍😍
And we’ve finally chosen a bathroom fitter for our new bathroom project so I’m looking forward to getting a date when that will start. It really does need a refresh. Here’s what it looks like now:
Finally I now have 107 newsletter subscribers and 443 Amazon followers so a big thank you to you all!
Many thanks for sharing this one, Lique! x
